Who we are…
Rock Gardens Rafting has been providing whitewater raft trips for over 35 years. Located in the scenic Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River, we are the featured rafting company in the State of Colorado’s “Courage Colorado” tourism promotion (www.colorado.com). We are also a Local’s Choice Award winning company. We are excited to show you why The Travel Channel called us the #1 place to cool off in America!

Why choose us?
Safety is our number one concern! We use only the highest quality equipment and our river guides are certified according to Colorado State guidelines as well as CPR and First Aid. Prior to your trip, our guides will provide a safety speech and self rescue presentation. As with any outdoor adventure experience some inherent risk is involved. Participation is in our rafting trips is at your own risk. You will need to sign an Assumption of Risk Waiver prior to your trip.

About our employees…
Rock Gardens employees are hand picked for their rafting knowledge, skills and love of the river. We look for people with energy, out going natures and friendly personalities. Many spend their winters in Colorado honing their guest service skills with other outdoor recreation activities such as ski patrol, snowmobile guides and ski instructors. Many of our guides return from year to year. Whether we are taking your reservation, checking you in at the front desk or guiding you down the river, we truly care about giving you a fun and memorable experience!

New this summer, we are proud to introduce our sister company, Glenwood Canyon Zipline Adventures. Now you can extend your vacation fun with a soaring trip on the only zipline across the Colorado River! A playground for kids of all ages, our High Ropes Course, Rock Climbing Walls and Leap of Faith challenge jump are sure to keep them happy. Ask about our discounted raft/zip packages!

The Glenwood Canyon Resort is the basecamp for Rock Gardens Rafting. The Resort has a variety of lodging options for your vacation. From deluxe resort cabins, camper cabins, full hook-up RV sites and riverside tent sites, we can accommodate your lodging needs.

The Rock Gardens Family is pleased to announce that the final phase of our resort renovation is under way! We have started construction on our Recreation building which will host the No Name Bar and Grill with deck overlooking the Colorado River. Scheduled to open spring 2011, our new building will be the perfect place to host your wedding, family reunion or corporate retreat.

About the owners…
Rock Gardens Rafting has been owned and operated company by the Schneider family for the last twenty-two years. The owners, Kevin and Kathy Schneider are passionate about guest service and offering the highest quality adventure for their guests!

Kevin is the business planner and sets his sights on the long range goals and improvements for the future. As a member of the Rotary Club of Glenwood Springs, Kevin is very involved in the local community. He is also the chairman of the Glenwood Springs Tourism Board, a board member of the Colorado River Outfitters Association, as well as a past board member of the Colorado Tourism Board. He uses his years of business experience to promote not only the company, but the Glenwood Springs area and the state of Colorado.

Kathy is a health care professional and Adult Educator by profession. She is a First Responder and has received EMT and Advanced Medical Training for emergency situations. In addition to keeping the staff up to date on their First Aid & CPR classes, Kathy concentrates on staff team building, outdoor education and guest service training.  It’s because of her we have the friendliest staff around!  

Their sons are also involved in the business. Brett is a professional photographer who excels at capturing action photos of our rafting and zipline guests. And Shane provides the friendly face at the front desk as well being as a vital member of our senior rafting staff. Both enjoy sharing their love of Colorado and the great outdoors with our guests!

All together, the family makes a great team. We all look forward to being a part of your Colorado vacation and providing you and your family with memories to treasure!
